When I came back in from the garden this morning just look what was waiting for me on the doorstep. Super special and wonderful swap gifts from Laura in North Carolina. Look at all the yummy goodies inside:

The latest issue of Adorn – super YAY !!! May Domino – wow I love it !! Knitsimple magazine – oooh great ideas !!! A lovely Burt’s Bees Baby soap for Astrid from Laura’s daughters Chloe and Maya – thank you – it’s so sweet and smells yum !! AND of course – the piece de resistance – Lotta Jansdotter’s Simple Sewing – the book that started it all.

I can not begin to say thank you Laura. And Chloe and Maya – that’s lovely you sent something for Astrid. Thank you sooo much – thank you thank you thank you !!

A quick glimpse inside these magazines makes me want to visit the States even more. Laura – I saw what the fleamarkets are like on Eren’s flickr. Oh my word !!! Just check out these aprons she got there.

Have a fun weekend everybody. Especially to you Laura and your family – big smiles and ‘yays’ from all of us in Auckland.

Here is what I sent (except I forgot to photograph the card I sewed with Japanese paper).

I bought Lotta Jansdotter’s book just the other day, it looks so nice and inspiring but I haven’t tried anything from it yet. If you do (or when you do) it’d be nice to see it here on your blog 🙂

By the way, as you saw I linked two of your posts from my other blog (the one in Swedish, http://lillalivetstort.wordpress.com), and in case you’re interested the text was about that I buy vegetables the same way you do and since I love your photos I wanted my readers to see them too 🙂

You are a lucky girl to have those magazines! I haven’t seen them anywhere in Finland, but Lotta’s book is one of my favourites.

    yay, lucky you!

I’m so pleased you posted about magazines. I’m heading to the US in a couple of weeks and have been looking around to see what magazines I should be on the look out for!

Wow! How lucky are you?! I’m desperate to get my hands on Blueprint but sadly the dairy on the corner doesn’t stock it!
I purchased the Lotta book a couple of weeks ago. A huge inspiration I have to say.
