Learning to knit

And other such thoughts.

Ah, these last couple of mornings I’ve been dropping Astrid off at our wonderful childminder, heading up to South End Green for coffee and a muffin to plop myself in a cosy chair and knit for an hour before I come back home, up to my little study, to work.

It’s been a stressful past few days. I can’t really talk about it here but needless to say, always listen to your intuition, even if that means thinking you might let someone down or offend them. Especially where your children are involved. Astrid’s fine but we had a serious breach of trust this week and I’m just so relieved nothing happened.

Funny though, after not very nice things happen, well, it’s made our little family feel much closer – in a very comforting way. It’s like we all grew a bit closer to each other this week.

Always trust what your belly says…especially when it comes to your babies.

24 weeks!!! That’s awesome. Enjoy every minute you have left. It will be over before you know it, and they can’t go back in!

I’m definitely with you, trust your gut, I’d much rather offend someone than put my child at risk – glad to hear Astrid is ok 🙂

    You made the right decision.
Especially about the muffin, coffee, and knitting.

Aghk. It’s always good to grow closer, but sometimes the road there can be rocky. Glad to hear that you got there though. (and an hour of knitting in a cafe each day sounds like utter bliss to me..)

    so glad things are ok.
i have made that sweater you are knitting about five times. it is one of my very favorite patterns.

The sweater is lovely – the DB knits books for babies and kids are great. I always find the patterns too “square” and have to lengthen things….but….her photos are inspiring and the patterns fun.

    So glad Astrid is okay….

    The sweater is adorable!

Hey you, hope you guys are ok.
Being a parent means never really letting your gaurd down and thats horrible isn’t it? We want to trust people, but finding out someone isn’t on the same page as you can shake you.

Take good care, much love Cx
